Why LiFePO4 and not lead-acid
LiFePO4 batteries are commonly compared with lead-acid units. The main differences are cycle life, usable depth of discharge, and weight. A LiFePO4 bank can typically use a larger share of its rated capacity without the same long-term damage, which changes how many kilowatt-hours you actually store and reuse.
Sizing storage to your load
Storage sizing starts from what you want to run when the sun is down. If you want overnight backup for essential loads, the bank is sized to those loads multiplied by the hours you need covered. If you also want to shift daytime solar to evening use, the system needs enough capacity plus a charge controller and inverter that can pass that energy through efficiently.
Integration with solar and backup
Battery storage is usually added to an existing or planned solar system. The charger or hybrid inverter must match the battery voltage and chemistry, and the installation layout should keep the bank accessible for ventilation, monitoring, and maintenance. For backup use, the critical loads panel determines what stays online during an outage.

Frequently asked questions
Why LiFePO4 over lead-acid?
Far longer cycle life (6,000+ cycles), deeper usable capacity without damage, and lighter weight for the same usable kWh.
How big a battery do I need?
Add up the essential loads you want through an outage and multiply by the hours — lights, fans, wifi, and fridge first.
Can batteries retrofit my existing solar?
Yes, with a compatible hybrid inverter matched to voltage and chemistry — or start with our 3 kW + 5 kWh backup package.
What warranty comes with storage?
10-year battery warranty plus our 2-year workmanship warranty - in writing.
